Make your Tiny Desk AI video
Step behind the desk
The Tiny Desk meme took a famous office-desk concert clip and swapped the lead singer for a friend, a coworker or a celebrity look-alike. Tiny Desk AI does the same with one photo. Upload a sharp, front-facing picture of yourself or another adult who agreed to appear. The video opens on the wide shot: drums, keyboards, guitars, a sax and backing singers packed in front of shelves full of records and toys, with your face at the center mic. The person beside the generator is the fictional adult used for our actual example.
Hit the close-up like the original
A few seconds in, the video cuts to the close-up that made the clip famous: the lead singer belting into the mic with bandmates and the sax right behind. A fixed reference clip guides the camera, timing and the cut, so your version follows the same beats. Your face, hair and skin tone come from your photo; the patterned jacket comes from the preset. The three pictures on this page are frames from one real generated video. Expressions and mouth movement vary from one generation to the next.
Save a horizontal clip with music
You get a horizontal MP4 of about ten seconds with a newly generated soul-funk band sound. It is not the original recording or song, so add your own audio in an editing app if you want the exact track and have the right to use it. Download the result from the result card or open My Creations later. Describe the clip as AI-generated when you post it. ClipTrend is not affiliated with NPR, Tiny Desk or the original performers.

Frequently asked questions
What is Tiny Desk AI?⌄
It is the viral meme where the lead singer of a famous office-desk concert clip is replaced with someone else. Upload one photo and you take the lead mic in a ten-second version.
Does it use the original song?⌄
No. The music is newly generated soul-funk with band and backing vocals. It does not copy the original recording or lyrics. You can add your own audio afterwards if you have the right to use it.
Can I put my friends in the band too?⌄
Not in this version. One photo replaces the lead singer; the rest of the band follows the reference clip.
What photo works best?⌄
A sharp, front-facing photo of one adult with the whole face visible. Avoid sunglasses, masks, heavy filters and group photos.
What format do I get?⌄
A horizontal MP4 of about ten seconds. Our inspected example is 10.125 seconds at 1344 × 768 pixels, with sound.
How many credits does it cost?⌄
One Tiny Desk AI video costs 96 credits, shown before you generate. The 30-credit welcome allowance alone does not cover it. Downloading a finished result does not start another generation.
Is this affiliated with NPR?⌄
No. ClipTrend is not affiliated with NPR, Tiny Desk or the original performers. Results are fictional parodies; label them as AI-generated when you share.
How long does it take and where is my video?⌄
Allow several minutes; busy periods can take longer. Download the finished clip from the result card or find it later in My Creations.
